For our trip to Tahuna Torea we got to have a little but of fun but our main learning behind it were that we got to see where the Godwit/Kuaka eat. The sites were so beautiful from the dry land. Walking for a hike was a great learning because we saw different flowers we haven't seen before. Having to play at the playground made us have fun and make new friends.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson, Ms Naicker and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Smart Searching Challenge
For inquiry we were given a DLO to finish off. I was working with Victoria to finish it off. For our DLO we were given a site to pick a letter for topic. Victoria and I was given the letter K, and so we picked the topic knight. Later after that we have to think about 3 question, so later we can research for the right answers. Our questions have to include the 5W's. Our questions we came up with were: Could anyone be a knight?, Were there any girl knight? and Did every knight have there own castle?. After we finished we learnt lots about knights and cyber smart.

River Safety
LS2 have been learning about water safety. We finished off a task about River safety. We have learned a lot about reading the article and making into a DLO. Keeping safe in the river is a real deal because if you go on a bush walk you might see a river. You need to check your clothes and equipment if you ever try to cross it. You can not cross the river by yourself because you will get into danger. Remember to check down the streams for potential hazards such as rapids.
