Why I want to be Head Girl

I would like to be Head Girl as it would be a opportunity to gain more responsibility. I think I have a chance to be Head Girl because I have the  proper uniform also I come to school on time. Being head girl would mean that I would play a key role in the school which is a responsibility that I am willing to take. I would help personally by becoming Head Girl giving me the opportunity to progress my public speaking and leadership skills, which will be useful later on in life, also I would like to be able to be seen as a friendly person for all the students, they will be able to come to me if they have any concerns or worries and I would help them to the best of my skill. I would make a good Head leader because I  have the confidence to talk to our school also showing my ideas with the teachers even Mr Johnston. Having the respect from the students and the teacher is something that has made me very pleased and happy knowing that I have this opportunity to be voted as head girl for 2016.

I am really proud of me being nominated to be head leader for 2016. Having people to vote for me I have to persuade them that I am Confident and that I have a good attitude. I was nominated because I have the qualification for being a leader. Being Head Girl could help me with my college application.

Today we met Alan Duff because he came to our school to tell us about what he done to make Duffy books at home.

The Marble Roll Experiment

We have been learning about our Marble Roll Experiment We have tested our ramp on white concrete, black concrete, grass and in the hall. our highest average was 11.6.

Thank you letter

This Thank you letter is for Bunning Takanini and Mr Millward. This is for making the ramps for our experiments. It really helped room 5 & 6 complete our tasks.

Moon Rover

Today rooom 5 and 6 went to Tamaki College to learn about science but the first thing on the list was to make a Moon Rover. Tamaki have been really helpful with them helping us to learn more about science. This DLO shows how to make a Moon Rover without electricity.

Critical Friend

Today Room 6 buddied up with a critical friend from Room 5 to see how we have been improving between our writing. My critical friends helped tells me what I have done wrong and what I am improving on. In my writing I have used the rubric to see what my teacher expects me to be at.

Spelling results

This is my spelling result. My spelling result is 96% because I have got 1 spelling wrong and it was beauteous. I would need to try harder to get 100% .

What We Do At Tech

This DLO shows what we do at tech. At Tech the Yr 7 are in the wood work class. We make toys and we learn how to use tools safety.  It is a lot of hard work but it is really fun to learn how to make things out of wood.

Thea Stilton and The Legend Of The Fire Flowers

This book was really interesting to read this book was like an investigation. I chose this book to write about because this book was about a group of girls had saved the island from the volcano that was about to erupt. No one else seemed to noticed that they were in danger. I give this book a 10/10 because everyone had a happy ending.

Multiplication - 8x

This is my multiplication I had to choose which 8 times table I was stuck on. I have to learn my 8 x 12 because I am really stuck on it. This maths workout can help me with my 8 x 12 every time I am stuck.

Career - Doctor

 At career June and I have made a Popplet on what relates to a doctor and what skills they have in common. The skills a doctor need is English, Literacy, Biology, Science, Maths, Chemistry and a bit more. We have learnt a lot of people that relates to a doctor like a Surgeon, Nurse, Orthodontist and more.

Current Event

This is my flip Snack on my current event. Miss Paton tought us on how to use flip snack.It was really hard to catch up with the instruction.

Vending machine problem

I used my place value or my fraction knowledge to solve this problem.   This is another problem I came up with: There are 6 cheesy chips in a vending machine. The other 5/4 are chicken chips. How many chicken chips are there in the vending machine? can you solve this using your place value.

Cyber Smart - Curriculm

On websites you don't know who you will meet. Always be the right age to go on the websites because you don't know what will happen. There are people out there that you don't know so don't give personal detail. Only add people you know like your family and friends.

This is my explanation to be careful on using smart money. The money you have won might been a scam. You need to do is ask someone if you have won money or not. Don't give personal details or credit card detail to any one even if you win something like money.

Problem Solving

This problem is very hard we had to see how can we get the fox, chicken and the corn over the river but the bad thing is that the fox eats the chicken and the chicken eats the corn. I've solved the problem solving it was a bit hard but I solved it.

This is my work for tech I have had a lot of things. My Learning Intention is to Undertake research and development of tools and techniques associated with a technological outcome by simulating tutorials and examples of existing outcomes. I had to do lots of work. I have went on a site called scratch we learned a lot of things of it.

Tech

This is my work from tech we learned how to use scratch. I learnt how to add pictures also add music. My tech teachers name is Mrs Anderson she is very kind and helpful.  Using scratch was so fun I have learnt a lot. I would love to use scratch again sometime.

Spelling

The new word I learnt to spell was stubbornness. I also know that altogether means coming together. This is my example using altogether.  Eg:  My group came together to finish our problem solving.

Learning Maori

This is a game that teaches me Maori. It easy to answer the equation but not when it's in Maori. I would have to count in Maori to get my answer. This could help me learn a lot about the Maori languages.

This is my 7 Time Table on a Google draw. I had to repeat it over and over again 10 times. I had to repeat it because I need to learn my 7 Times Tables quickly. I really need to learn my 7 Times Tables to help me on my maths.

Camp

Spelling results

Today I done my spelling test online.This is my total I have done really bad but I tried but not enough. The words were really hard the word I new in the spelling test was later. I had to clean my room later. I have used the word later too show that I understand the word. The hardest word I couldn't understand was illuminate it was really hard to listen because it sound similar to the word eliminate.
