Rocket collage

At tech we learnt a lot and had so much fun. I have made a collage about our learning. This collage is in story order which starts from the start. Having to make rockets also learn about them really made us be interested in rockets. Our teacher from Tamaki College talked to us about what a rocket is and how you can make one. Straight after the learning time we got to make a straw rocket which was really hard because to improve your rocket you would have to change the length or change the fin size. We were so happy and thankful for having to learn at Tamaki College.

How to make a rocket

This is a blog post where it tells you instruction to how to build a Straw Rocket. It will take 6 steps just to build a straw rocket. If you get to make one remember to change some stuff like the length of the straw or the shape and size of the fins. To make thes you would need 2 straws, scissors, sellotape and piece of paper with a template of fins. Have fun and it is really great to play with just remember to be careful.

Platform Game - Digitech

Today for Digital Tech we made a game using scratch. We learnt a lot about the design and the controls. My game includes 5 levels, it starts easy then hard. I made this game by myself even the sprites. This was a hard task to do but I got to the end. It was pretty difficult to understand the scripts but I can understand it now. The controls to play the game is the right key and the spacebar. Remember don't touch the blue blocks or you would DIE!

Design Process

LS2 had went to tech and we were split into 3 groups. One of the Year 8 group went to 3D printing. My desighn process we had done first when we came was a design brief - Client + Wanted. Research - Jewelry. Concept ideas - 6 different ideas. Design development drawing (change) and positive + Improvement.

Tech - Graphics

At Tech we had made a project for a person we may want to give as a present to. We had started off as a practice with a plastic dough just to start of on what will we be making. As we got our dough I have to make a portrait of what I am making  for the person I want to give it to. It was really easy and fun working on this project as I learned a lot of new start.

Tech - 3D Graphics

At Tech we use a site called Tinkercad.com to create a funny looking monster just for a practice and to have fun. On Tinkercad.com we had a challenge on who makes the most funniest looking monster. At tech we had a lot of fun.

What We Do At Tech

This DLO shows what we do at tech. At Tech the Yr 7 are in the wood work class. We make toys and we learn how to use tools safety.  It is a lot of hard work but it is really fun to learn how to make things out of wood.

Tech

This is my work from tech we learned how to use scratch. I learnt how to add pictures also add music. My tech teachers name is Mrs Anderson she is very kind and helpful.  Using scratch was so fun I have learnt a lot. I would love to use scratch again sometime.
