Orienteering

For orienteering we were learning how to read the map. We could stamp in any order as long as we read the map correctly. Orienteering was really fun it was a fun exercises. This would help us with the orienteering inter - school. This really got our brain working. 

Current Events - Britain votes to stay or leave EU

For reading today we have to do currents event. Our topic was about Britain votes to stay or leave EU (European Union). This event happened on the June, 6,  2016. This happened because 500 people immigrate to Britain every day. How did this happened was that public's voted  to remain to be in the EU or to stand alone. The author wanted us to learn on what is happening to Britain voting to leave and the EU wanting them to stay. 

Speech paragraph

I have wrote my own speech about Why racism is bad. It was a topic that I have been through in my life. I have heard people talking about other people's skin color. This topic was to tell people it is bad and it has been gone out of control. I am going to be confident enough to share my speech in  front of the classroom.

Speeches

Before speech finals we have been put in groups to share our speech and to be marked on the speech rubric. Most people got to be picked to be reading in front of the whole classroom. Our speech have to be at least 2min and 30sec.  

Orienteering

For the past 2 weeks we have been learnt how to play orienteering. We learned how to read the map and shapes that was shown on the map. We played a game which was pretty tiring. It was really muddy and it rain a little but it still was fun.

Current Event - Park up for Homes: Hundreds spend night in cars in support of homeless families.

For reading I have finished my current event DLO. My current event DLO is on about the Hundreds spend night in cars in suport of homeless families. I have learned a lot from this article about what has been happening. I think the author wanted me to learn is that many people  don't have what we have right now like, houses, food and nice clothes. I feel really sad because there are families out there who has nowhere to live.

Decimals

Today we were learning decimals. After our task we were sent off to play a decimal game. My score for this was 280 and I have successfully finished all the rounds. I have learnt that in decimals it doesn't have any ones. The game that I played was called place value pirates. 

Smog In China

LI: Making connections

This week for reading we did an activity about making connections. We had to comment on the Smog in China, we had to use text to text, text to self, and text to world. What I found out that the factories in China caused some of the smog.

Making a connection

My Partner and I made a DLO on making a connection. We wrote how to make a connection and how we made a connection to the topic we were given. Making a connection is when you look at the picture's and you don't have to read the story.

Muhammad Ali

I have made a DLO on Muhammad Ali. Muhammad Ali is an American professional boxer who never gave up. He was an intelligent leader to kids. He have always wanted to be a boxer so he began training at the age of 12, and won the heavyweight champion at the age of 22. He wasn't just a great athlete but he is a global citizen.

India

My Partners and I made a DLO on India. We all collaborated to finish this off. We had follow up activities like the google map challenge, oogle map challenge 2, Collage Explanation, Emblem Challenge, Language Challenge, Celebration challenge, Food Challenge and Traditional Clothings. We have worked a lot to finish this off and we have made it. 

Japanese

My Partner and I made a DLO on the Japanese culture. We made DLO for their Art, the people, Food, Geisha, Religion, Japanese sports, Gardens and Animated characters. We used our searching skils and prior knowledge to finish off our DLO. My partner and I collaborated to complete the Japanese work.

Thailand

My partners and I made a DLO on Thailand. We have been rotating to each country and my country was Thailand. We have tasks to finish of our DLO on Thailand. We have too answer questions and make a DLO about their Culture, Traditional dressings, Food.

Pollution - Synthesizing

I have played a game about my prior knowledge. We have to write a strong connection on why does it connect to the subject it tells you. If we have a strong connection then we jump to a tall building you get 40 points. If we get a weak connection we jump to a small building which only gives you 10 points.

LI: To carry out a statistical inquiry.

Today for maths I made a graph based on my blog post. We have to make the graph about how many blog posts did we do since we started blogging. I started blogging in 2013 and I have been low in blogging until 2016 I have been updating my blog every week. My goals for updating my is to keep up with my learning and to don't keep of track.
